What is your favorite genre of romance novels? Mine is historical romance.

A great question, Terri--wish I had asked it!

Far and away, Romantic Suspense is my Romance sub-genre of choice. I read a lot and try to switch it up by interspersing a Contemporary Romance amongst the RS mayhem, but they just do not strike the same chord with me. I find myself rushing through so I can get back to the action.

I particularly enjoy serial killer storylines as well as police procedurals and legal thrillers. There has to be at least a thread of romance/a hint thereof or an ongoing relationship to make it an enjoyable read for me. Apparently I come by my screen name honestly... .

My first love is historical romance followed closely by romantic suspense.

My love of books goes through phases, right now I'm into paranormal and a good mystery book every once in a while.

My favorite changes constantly. Right now I would say Suspense/Mystery. Also love Romantic Suspense and Urban Fantasy.

Definitely a Historical Romance kind of girl. The only contemporary author I stick with is Toni Blake.

Historical, fantasy/paranormal and then romantic suspense. I mix in cozy mysteries every once in a while.

I love romantic suspense, urban fantasy and paranormal roamnce (vampires, werewolves, fae, etc).

I haven't read a historical in several years - other than Johanna Lindsey - she keeps me coming back for more!!

romantic suspense, paranormals (selectively), and contemporaries (like Susan Mallery)

I'm late getting to this which is probably good because I don't have a definitive answer. I like them all. When I first started reading romance a gazillion years ago, I was reading historicals. I swore I'd never read contemporary and then I started reading contemporary which at the time was pretty much all romantic suspense. Then I swore I'd never read vampires and now I read vampires. Then I swore I'd never read fantasy and now I read fantasy. Then I swore I'd never read young adult and along came the Twilight series and now I love young adult. I swore I'd never read new adult and then I found Easy which I loved. Never, ever would I enjoy erotica and then I read 50 Shades.

So I've learned, never, ever say never. Try everything once or twice. You don't know what you're missing. I just love to read.
