I was looking through paperback swap and saw her necklace trilogy. They looked really interesting. Has anyone read them? What did you think? How hot are they? I prefer my books to have a few detailed love scenes and not in the last couple of chapters. Who would she be comparable to? Thanks!

Hi Beauty,

I read the trilogy going on four years ago, here's how they turned out for me, but today I recall very little about the characters or their story, so probably a B+ Warm...

Bride's Necklace Trilogy by Kat Martin

1. The Bride's Necklace (1/05) (A- Warm) -- 1804, Georgian London and France

2. The Devil's Necklace (8/05) (A- Warm) -- 1805, Georgian London

3. The Handmaiden's Necklace (1/06) (A- Warm) -- 1806, Georgian London and America

I'm not very good at comparing authors but perhaps Candace Camp. Although as I sit here I'm remembering a lot of the story in her early work, in comparison.

Thanks, Janie. I may just skip them. I'm in the mood to read hot books. Like Elizabeth Hoyt type. Maybe I'll just do a reread of hers...

Beauty, Elizabeth Hoyt is a good choice for a re-read.

I ran across this series since last posting. If you haven't already had the pleasure... as you can see most of these I rated highly.

The Knight Miscellany Series by Gaelen Foley

1. The Duke (11/00) (A Hot)
2. Lord of Fire (1/02) (B+ Warm)
3. Lord of Ice (2/02) (C Hot)
4. Lady of Desire (1/03) (A Hot)
5. Devil Takes a Bride (5/04) (A+ Hot)
6. One Night of Sin (6/05) (A Hot+)
7. His Wicked Kiss (5/06) (B+ Warm+)

Been awhile since I read these, but am thinking if you don't want to invest in the complete series that starting with Lady of Desire and continuing on would be okay.

I love the Knight Miscellany series! My favorites are Lord of Ice and Devil Takes a Bride. I can read them over and over  I may have to do a reread of that series soon.
