This might be the worst romance I ever read. Such a big disappointment. The hero and heroine are not developed and seem like young, ridiculous teenagers, certainly not adults. Their parents are good characters, I must say. The plot is stupid, the love that instantly develops is laughable. The Alaskan setting is only a small section of the book. The Christmas setting is just thrown in for seasonal appeal .
I feel that Debbie Macomber has cheated us with this nonsense. I am so glad I didn't spend money to buy this book or I would have demanded to get my money back; I just had to walk two blocks to the library.
Shame on her and her editors and agent and publisher for this dribble.
The best thing about the book is that it is so short.
What a waste of time.
And this is the first of the Christmas books I am reading this year.

Gail--It is always disappointing when you read a book you are looking forward to, especially by a favorite author, and it turns out to be so bad. I have had that happen a few times myself.

If you are looking for an excellent Christmas-themed book, may I suggest 'Some Enchanted Season' by Marilyn Pappano. I found it a delight from first page to last.

Good luck with the rest of your holiday reading choices.

I thought it was ok given the nature of the book. Ididn't buy as I never pay for her books now. I think they are ridiculously over priced.
I loved the cover and I skimmed parts as I usually do with her romance books. I was tired and it was a short quick read. I thought it was pretty typical of her short romances. :(
