Since I began reading romances in the 6th grade, I have loved Johanna Lindsay. So, I was really excited to pick up her book "When Passion Rules" out of the bargain bin at Barnes & Noble.

I don't know what happened, but even the voice in this book does not sound like Johanna Lindsay. The story is lacking and there are holes all through it. I am glad I paid less than $5.00 for this one.

Sad to say, after The Perfect Someone, I don't buy her anymore. That book was such a huge letdown.....and Lord only knows how much I was looking forward to a Malory book!
I'm not much of a re-reader, but in her case, that's all it will be for me if I ever feel the need for a fix!

Its my opinion that when authors go hardback their stories get mediocre. JL used to be an autobuy now I wait for the paperback. I think I got WPR from the ubs.

I finished the book and it was just a disapointment. There was no substance to the story at all. Back in the 80's & 90's she was an autobuy for me, but like Jude Deveraux, Judith McNaught, and Galen Foley she has dropped off. :?

:D Sorry to hear that you are dissappointed in a book. Its sad when you get into a good author and you get one of their books and that just one just throws everything out the window.
