I really run hot and cold on Nora Roberts' trilogies. I didn't expect to like this one because it has witches in it and the Three Sister's trilogy disappointed me badly (the 1st book was great and then it let me down).

So I went into the first book with trepidation and was surprised. This one I read because I liked the first one and I was surprised again. I liked it better than the first. My only fault with it was that Meara, the heroine, was borderline TSTL. Connor is my kind of guy: protective and the kind of a guy who goes out of his way to please his lover (sigh!)

The next book will be Branna's and I truly hope she doesn't disappoint me. Fin is too sexy of a guy to waste.

I read the first book and enjoyed it. As soon as I am over my fixation with Mercy Thomspon I will get to the second book!!
