OMG! It's been a cold week here in Chicago. We did get some snow but nothing like the East Coast. I hope everyone is keeping warm.

I have to admit that it was so cold here this week that I only went out one day this week. It's my month to host our monthly pinochole game. I still need to go grocery shopping to buy the goodies. I'm thinking of making a big pot of chili!!! Another good weekend to curl up on the couch with a book.

After finishing the two newest Juliana Gray's book, I discovered another new author...Lauren Smith -- Wcked Designs. Looking forward to reading more books by this author. I also took a day off from reading.....just couldn't figure out what I wanted to read. Up next either the new Sabriana Jeffries or Leslie A Kelly book.

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Keep Warm and enjoy your weekend!

I have become a real wimp! This is the first REAL Chicago winter we've had in a long time and I can hardly cope. If I didn't have to go to work, I would stay inside everday.

I'm reading JR Ward's Lover Reborn, I started it last year, but didn't finish it. I'm skimming alot. I'm listening to Robyn Carr's Wild Man River one of her best in the series for me.

I read an e-book by Rule of Three by Kelly Jamieson, it was a good read (super-hot). I would read something else by her.
Another new author I read was Alexx Andria did not like, did not finish.

Happy weekend!

I'm going to be running in my first 5k tomorrow morning! :D

After that I'm getting a massage at 3 and then it's time to chill after that. Sunday we have to go buy a new double oven/cooktop as ours are going out.

I'm currently reading Obsessed by Him by Red Garnier. It's a collection of 5 short novels about 5 "billionaire friends". Very purple and over the top so far, but entertaining.

Stay warm!

Well I've printed my boarding passes and I'm leaving tomorrow a.m. (assuming the coming 2-4 inches of snow doesn't screw that up). Snow is supposed to end mid-morning so even if there's a delay, I don't think it will be too long. Of course, it's the weather and there are always surprises. I'm packed with lots of books in my Kindle for my days away. My oral surgery is nicely healing and not hurting but I'm taking my pain pills LOL.

I'm trying not to worry too much about my youngest son (alone) and my cats. It's only 5 nights. Could he and they starve that fast? The weather will be horrible so hopefully, there will be no keggers. Just in case I have my neighbors on the lookout. I told him no company at all. Big Brother will be checking on him too.

I'm reading a book by Lori Wilde (3rd in Cupid series) and I can't remember the name. It's fluffy enough to keep me calm. After that I have a thriller on hand and I can't remember the name or the author (can you tell I'm stressed?)

Good luck Kyle on your run! You're my idol! Everyone else in the freezer stay warm. January is almost over and February is a short month. That means spring is on it's way (trying to stay positive here).

Another weekend, another blizzard warning - will it ever go away?? This has been the worst winter we have had in years!!

Last week I finished Jaci Burton's Hope Flames, the start of a new series and it was very good. Now I have moved on to Barefoot By The Sea, by Roxanne St. Claire. It's a good series, but I am not liking the heroine in this book a whole lot. Hopefully she redeems herself at some point. :?

I will say, with the weather being awful I have been getting in a fair amount of reading and knitting. Glad I have stuff I like to do or I would be having a good case of cabin fever setting in.

Everyone have a great rest of the weekend!

God luck Kyle in your first 5K!

Reading Chrissy Olinger's book Heart of Gold, just finished My Boyfriend's Back, it was cute and funny. So sorry to hear of her passing and the sweet thing is, each book is dedicated to Ahmed.

Lots of snow this weekend so I had lots of time to read. Finally had time to read the last Virgin River book by Robyn Carr called My Kind of Christmas. It was a nice wrap to the series. After that I read a short story from Lorraine Heath called The Reluctant Hero which was just OK for me.

Now I'm starting Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur.
