Happy November........

Let the Christmas season begin.

Haven't decided what to do this weekend, my sister and bil may come over on Sunday but it depends on how he is feeling. Other than that just the usual errands, watching football and reading.

Again I don't know why I wanted so long to read Cindy Gerard....OMG I read the first book in her new series Killing Time -- loved it. Now I want to go back and read her Black Op series. I read the new Christmas novella by Valerie Bowman - It Happened Under The Mistletoe - cute quick read. I just started the latest Lisa Eugen book Surrender My Love after that I have no idea.

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Happy weekend! I started reading High Risk by Vivian Arend this week. It's pretty good...better than I thought it would be so far. It's making me want to go to Canada bad!!

Going to dinner and movie (Last Vegas) for my birthday with Chuck tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to my Aftercare meeting then doing a little shopping with Chuck. After that I'm planning to go to Hobby Lobby with my mom to look at Christmas stuff, and then I may have dinner with my family for my birthday. Sunday night is football!! Colts at Texans. Big game for us.

Our 20th wedding anniversary is next Wednesday. Have a great weekend everyone.

I saw Angela Thomas on video, she was so funny, but you learn so much from her teaching.

Happy Birthday and Happy anniversary Kyle!

I am in a total reading slump. I have been starting and stopping books for several weeks now. Can't get interested in anything. So today I went to my "keeper" box and pulled out SLIGHTY DANGEROUS by Mary Balogh. It is one of my all time favorite books, so hope it will get me back on track.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Lindy - I hope Slightly Dangerous gets you out of your slump. I loved that book.

Kyle - Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary!

I had the day off today. Since we had beautiful weather, I got a lot of outside work done...getting ready for snow.

This week I read Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris. It's the 11th book in her Sookie Stackhouse series. I wasn't crazy about it. Now I'm in the mood for suspense. I think I'll start The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen.

It's a twofer for Kylebemac... Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to you. Hope your "dates" with Chuck go really well. Let me know how you like Las Vegas, please... I am dying to see it. Oh, and again, your new picture on fb is fantastic. What a beautiful smile!
I am getting ready to help give out coats down at the Senior Center. We have an outreach group who has a food bank and gives out coats and scarfs and gloves to needy families. I won't be there all day but plan on staying and helping awhile.

Nothing else planned but watching football, making a few Christmas cards and reading. I have the new Sandra Brown book, Deadline and am just starting that.

Have a great weekend everyone and happy reading.

We're heading out for a potluck later today and then tomorrow I'll be doing the weeks grocery shopping using eMeals. I'll probably also be taking some time to rearrange some of my book lists. I'm trying to make some budget cuts and I'm trying to be more resourceful from where I get my books and how much I'm willing to spend on them. I'm lucky that this is a choice and isn't a mandatory budget cut. :D

I finished up Somewhere to Dream by Genevieve Graham this morning. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. It was pretty good. It is the third story (and maybe final?) in Graham's books. The books have all been loosely related to characters from previous books. It's set in South Carolina sometime between The Revolutionary War and the Civil War I believe. (I know that's a big gap in history but there's no real dates/events given so....) It's about a girl who ends up living amongst the Cherokee and her life with them. The hero is a white man who is brought captive back to their village. There is rape in the book but it's not gratuitous. Just a heads up for those who avoid that in their books.

I plan on starting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this weekend but I know there is no way that I will finish that book this weekend. It will be the first time that I have ever re-read this book. It devastated me the last time I read it. Finished it in one weekend because I was so nervous about spoilers. I can't wait to re-read this one!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kyle!!! Enjoy your birthday and anniversary with your hubby!

Have a wonderful birthday and anniversary Kyle!! How did you manage both so close together? Let me know about Last Vegas..looks good.

We had trick-or-treat last night, just put some candy out because we went to our son's old high school football game. My youngest came home from college---surprised us by just showing up at the football game....we thought we were seeing things! He hasn't been home since May.

Today I have been cleaning like a mad woman...down on my hands and knees cleaning baseboards. One thing leads to another and I am practically spring cleaning..whew! I need to go to the grocery..but putting it off until Mon...so we will have to go out to eat  Son wants to go out and do something fun with the family tonight...so we are trying to come up with ideas.

Not reading this weekend...I need to do my Bible study since class is Tues, so I will be doing that tomorrow.

Everyone have a great weekend...stay safe!

Just got done working several overnight shifts, so I'm not even sure what day it is! Just read Sea Glass Winterby favorite Joann Ross. Very enjoyable, as all of her books are.

Today will be a lazy day, getting caught up with a few things around the house and recorded TV shows.

Happy B'day and anniversary Kyle!
