Hi Ladies!

Hope everyone had a good week!!

I'll be helping Lynn (Bookreader7) at the Catch A Bunch of Authors Fair.....I can't wait to see Bety Kery, Jade Lee, Tracey Develyn and Julie Anne Walker also Beverly Jenkins. If you live in the Chicagoland area drop on by!

http://www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/wp-c ... Letter.pdf

Sunday will be spend running errands in the morning and watching football all day!!!!!! Yes Football Season is back!

I'm currently reading Vaughn by Beth Williamson -- so far so good but I haven't been in the mood to sit down and read for a period of time. Earlier I read Desire Wears Diamonds by Renee Bernard -- a solid B for me. After I finished Vaughn I'm thinking of starting the first book in a series by Vivian Arend - High Risk!

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Well - happy weekend everyone!

Tonight I plan to spend a little time cleaning our hot tub out. It was nasty! :x I drained it yesterday and I plan to clean it and refill it so if we want to use it over the coming weeks we can. Can you tell I'm being optimistic that it might cool down even a little??

Tomorrow morning I go to Chuck's first Aftercare meeting at 9 am with the kids and then after that Chuck is being discharged and will be coming home with us. I've gotten a real sense of peace from him in terms of how he's dealing with things. Better than me so far. I dreamed about him last night...that I caught him drinking a beer. But I have to give him a chance, and that's what him going to rehab was all about.

Other than that, like Dani, I'm looking forward to football on Sunday and especially my Texans on Monday Night Football. Be sure to go over to the General Message Board and make your picks for this week's games!! (shameless plug, yes, I know)

I finished reading The Miss Education of Dr. Exeter by Jillian Stone earlier this week and I really liked it. I might have to check out Stone's other series, The Men of Scotland Yard (or something to that affect). I tried to start reading Unbound, which is an anthology with Angela Knight but I just could NOT get into it so I've given it up for now. I have several magazines to read this weekend, and I'm reading Codependent No More by Melody Beattie. I'm going pick up the workbook that goes with it today and start doing some of the exercises to see if I can start to learn to work through my issues with Chuck and the kids. If I start anything new this weekend, I think I'll read Jayne Castle's new one Deception Cove.

Everyone have a great weekend.

This week I finished reading THE PROPOSAL by Mary Balogh. For some reason it got a bit boring for me. I gave it a "B". I have THE ARRANGEMENT the next book in that series. I may start it this weekend.

Tomorrow is football mayhem in the town I live in. Georgia is playing South Carolina here. It will be crazy all over town. Thousands of people show up with no tickets. They just come to party.

We are big tennis fans so will be watching some of the US Open.

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Reading

Kyle---giving you big hugs of support and praying for you to have a peaceful mind. I know these next few weeks will be a challenge not knowing whether he is going to fall off the wagon or stay strong. Take one day at a time and continue to be the strong woman that you are.

I am reading Last Kiss Goodbye. I just started it and love it. Just curious....is there going to be a third book in this series?

I think it is going to be a slow weekend. Gearing up to watch some college football and tennis. I am going to try to get a bit of yard work done--weeding, which I hate with a passion. Cleaning the pool and patio area. Getting ready for the fall while I am still in summer mode.

I'm going to give football a try this season. I'm ready. I've got my orange and black ready. My son is ready to help me. We'll see if I last.

I'm going to start Love Overdue by Pamela Morsi. I enjoyed her last contemporary because it was funny like her historicals used to be. We'll see. If I can't stand it, I'll read Biting Bad by Chloe Neill. It's been sitting on my Kindle and I've been putting it off since I had so many library books to read. CN is one of the few authors I actually buy.

Beyond that I have no plans and I like it that way.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, no major plans so far, but tonight hubby's family are coming over for a game night, board games and trivia. Pizza and snacks too, :)
I am reading Aphrodite's Kiss by Julie Kenner, I started it a few weeks ago and got distracted so I'm starting over.
Hugs to you Kyle and hope all goes well with your hubby and family. :D

Hello Everyone!!

It's nice to see the lot of you are still here :)

I am reading "Blue by You" by Rachel Gibson a novella but hey ANYTHING from Rachel I am all for!

Of course I am too gearing up for the New England Patriots game on Sunday with Buffalo Bills another football season to move my life along.

It's been in the low 100's here so for the past few weekends I have stayed at home under the air conditioner and fan hehehehe either on pinterest or watching old movies on TCM which is what I will probably end up doing this weekend to as it will be another hot one.

Happy Reading and everyone have a blessed weekend

Hi Georgette! Nice to see you back.

I had this past week off work so I got a lot of reading done. I finished Third Grave Dead Ahead by Darynda Jones (good), Hidden Summit by Robyn Carr (very good), Seduced by a Pirate by Eloisa James (Ugh, how did it win a Rita Award?) and Wanted: Undead or Alive by Kerrelyn Sparks (good).

A few hours ago I finished a M/M story called Came Upon a Midnight Clear by Katie Porter. The first half of the book was a little confusing and unclear, but the second half was excellent. Not sure what I'll start next. Maybe a Marie Force book.

Thank you Everyone!!

It was so funny yesterday I went on the 'members' page to see who all was still on and active and I was laughing so hard to see so many of us sign up for the new site on the same day hehehehehe I remember we were all grumbling about it at first but then we 'reluctantly' moved over here  that seems like a lifetime ago.

Oh how I missed you all {{hugs}} I honestly thought we would have connected again on Facebook as a few of us did. RobinPA it's good to see you're still on here too! We had some fun times

I"ll stick around Blessings to all

Hi all. No plans here. Just finished the Seduction of Phaeton Black which I enjoyed, getting ready to start A Bandit's Stolen Heart by Michelle McLean, a new to me author.

Muffin, you're not going to start the next Phaeton Black book?

I am after what turned out to be A Bandit's Broken Heart. It's odd, if I try to read the same author/genre/series back to back, I don't seem to engage. So I need to alternate.

See I do better when I read them in a row. I forget things otherwise.

Heck, I forget things while I'm reading or watching them. I was just watching an episode of Haven and thought "Do they know so and so was just killed?" After a moment or two, it struck me "Oh yeah they were at the crime scene."
