Hello Everyone!

It's August already -- where the heck did summer go.

Well, I broke down and I'm having a garage sale today and tomorrow with my cousin. It's supposed to rain on and off all day -- oh well....in the garage and under the tent in the yard. Sunday I'm relaxing and running some errands.

I have to thank Purplenancy for recommending Rebecca Zanetti's - Forgotten Sin to me. This is the first book in the series and I really really enjoyed it. At the moment I'm reading Lady Anne's Lover by Maggie Robinson. So far so good. After that I have no idea because I don't know how much reading I'll get in.

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Have a good weekend everyone!

Other than groceries (maybe), no plans here. Going to finish up Texas Hold 'Em by Kay David and then...I haven't decided, lol. I'm thinking The Better to See You and Along Came a Spider, both by Kate Serine.

Happy weekend all! I'm not really sure what this weekend holds for us either.

My husband is still looking for a new job and had several promising interviews this week, so fingers crossed something will come of it. He's been in new home sales for over 10 years and his interviews this week were both with car dealerships. We're thinking that even if it MIGHT be a small pay cut (we're not even sure it would be), then it would be worth it for him to have off on Sundays (our dealerships are closed here on Sunday's) and having more holidays off. Downside would be maybe not having two consecutive days off in a row anymore...but it's a tradeoff that again...might be worth it.

I read Beautiful Bitch by Christina Lauren earlier this week. It was a revisit to Beautiful Bastard's Chloe and Bennett. Looks like she has three more short novels coming up in September, October and November. I look forward to them.

Last night I started Eye of God by James Rollins. It's his newest Sigma book. I didn't get that far, but seems interesting so far. I have heard a "major" character dies in this book, but my aunt read it already and said she didn't really consider the character "major". So....we'll see.

I'm back on Weight Watchers after kind of giving myself a "break" during June and July (vacation as it were!). I am happy because even during that two months, I didn't track and really, I didn't watch what I ate as well as I should have, but I tried to stay active and I didn't gain any weight. This gives me great hope for when I hit my final goal and go to maintenance. Right now I have 37 more pounds I want to lose, OR at least one more size. Hitting either of those goals would make me happy and I would consider myself "done" with weight loss and into maintaining.

Everyone have a happy weekend and take it easy!

I have several books that I want to start, but trying to decide if I want to hold off until we go to the beach in a couple of weeks---MacRieve is one of these books I am dying to read. I haven't heard any reviews and hope that it is good. I got it on audio and may wait until the drive to listen to it. Just finished with Rapture and started on Z and Bella's short book. However, I do want to find a light summer read for the beach...maybe Rachel Gibson or SEP.

My oldest son who just graduated, has been going on lots of interviews and meetings. He just got back from Texas interviewing for an oil company....thought it would be cool to work on an oil rig instead of the corporate world (all I kept thinking was we paid 4 yrs of college for you to work on a rig? Bite my tongue!) Later part of Aug he is to travel to Peru to interview there, possibly stay for a month or two getting to know the ends and outs of that company...he will be translating contracts in Spanish. Cross your fingers and send lots of prayers for him to settle on a job.

So we have been scrambling to get him a passport---first time. I kept thinking of kylebmac and her passport problems. Just hope and pray that passport comes in time.

I will be thinking of you kylebmac---sending prayers for hubby to find a job he likes and is well paid. I am also sending thoughts of encouragement to you for your weight loss. I am still trying to lose. I went to spin class 3 times this week, and something is aching in my hip. Hubby said it sounded like tendinitis and I needed to lay off it a bit....he's probably right but I tend to get lazy when I lay off anything

Great weekend to everyone!

My kids are coming down from Minneapolis today to visit Grandpa, and then come over here for a late lunch. Aside from a (hopefully) leisurely day today, I have to get to work getting all of dad's things out of his apartment since he will remain at the Care Center.

Obviously, since I asked the question, I am looking forward to starting a Kristen Ashley book. But I am in the middle of the 3 novellas by Lily Everett (aka: Louisa Edwards) and have her first full length book in the series to read first, all of which are really good!

It seems like summer just started - it can't be half over yet! I hope we have a nice fall to make up for no spring what so ever!! I don't count a 16" snowfall on 5/2 spring!

Everyone have a great weekend!

I'm amending my next to be read....it will be Driven by Eve Silver due to the most fun review ever at Dear Author. THEN the Kate Serine titles.

Kyle, keep your husband in my prayers that he finds a job soon.

Hi everyone.
What a lovely week I had off... except for the $660 water heater I had to buy. Well, the old one was 15 yrs old and started to leak... so i wasn't taking any chances on a flooded basement.
I finished up Unspeakable by Kevin O'Brien... again I didn't figure it out until almost the end.... shocker (at least to me!.)
I had to return Whiskey Beach by Roberts and only had half of it read.... re-ordered it and it just came in so I will continue where I left off.

I am working tomorrow at 7. I can't wait to see the renovations that they did last week. I figure it will be an exciting morning because of all the new machines and people either loving it or hating it. I will hear it all. Plan to keep on relaxing the rest of the weekend... reading on my back porch... house work be damned!!!

Kyle, praying for your hubby to find work... hope this will work out for him. I hate interviewing for any job. I still haven't heard about the one I applied for at the Y. Guess I will hear sometime next week. Hope so!

Have a great weekend and happy reading.

Well I downloaded the first episode of Game of Thrones this week, just curious as to what the hoo-hah is about, have to say, very annoyed I didn't get the next few episodes, got a little hooked which is very rare for me!!! It's abit full on in some parts!, but I think it's something I might enjoy.

I also tried True Blood, yeah that's lost me...

Reading wise finishing up Extreme Love (forget the author) and will most likely re-read Rock Chick Regret by Kristen Ashley, awaiting the 8th installment on the 13th.

Notmuch else happening, other than yard work.... I am feeling winter this week.

Hello Ladies, Just returned from a much needed beach vacation. Now it is on to piles of dirty laundry. But I am refreshed and ready to face the rest of the summer.

I am going to start Caroline Linden's new book LOVE AND OTHER SCANDALS. Her books are hit and miss for me. Hope this one is a hit.

It was really good to get back on the boards and catch up with everyone. I did not take my lap top on vacation with me. When I got back there were 225 emails in my box. Mostly junk.

Please take care everyone and lets all enjoy what is left of summer.

I was told interviews are being set up for this week. While my boss was telling me this... he said... You won't be upset if you don't get this... you couldn't care one way or the other, right? I told him I just needed a change and that's why I applied. Now I am thinking "is this his way of saying I might not get it?" I don't know Excell and Word and that may hold me back. (My thinking out loud here.) Oh well, will let you know.
