Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone had a good week. Hubby and I are headed up to Green Bay today for this Army Reunion can't wait to see old friends again.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed The Taming of Ryan Cavanough by Stephanie Laurens....in my opinion way better than her last book. I loved the epiligue. I also finished reading To The Limits by Jo Leigh -- loved those Men in Uniforms stories. I'm going to try to get in some reading this weekend, I'm up with the birds so I'm thinking of starting the new Julie Anne Long book!

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Greetings from Jamaica mon!

I finished The Blackstone Affair books earlier this week. I'm currently reading Wrecked by Shiloh Walker. Its been a sweet friends to lovers book. I should finish it shortly.

Once I finish it I plan to start Lover at Last by JR Ward.

Today is our last day. I plan to get a foot reflexology massage in a few minutes then hang by the pool and beach all day.

Hope all are well.

Hi Everyone! We have been socked with rain here in NE
Georgia.. Eleven inches in June and already six inches in July. I have not seen the sun in forever. This time last year we were in a drought.

Reading wise I did a re-read of a couple Of Mary Balogh Christmas books . Sorta Christmas in July. A CHRISTMAS BRIDE and A CHRISTMAS BEAU. Still " A " reads for me. Now I am reading a book written by a friends of ours. A PRAYING MAN by Harmon Snipes It is a thriller /suspense.

I hope he will write more. It is a good debut book.
Have a great weekend everyone and happy reading! Lindy

Hi everyone, another soggy week under our belts.
I was bummed, I had to return Whiskey Beach because there were some holds on it and I was only halfway through. I just reordered it and will finish it in a week or two. I hate to pay library fines.
I had to go for a 5 hour CPR/AED and First Aid refresher course today. I get paid for those hours, so, it was ok.
Kids are on their way to other Grandmas for 2 weeks, Maura has to be back for her infusion so it is really a short visit for them this summer.
I have a couple of books to look at... don't know what I am in the mood for.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy reading

Yay.... I get a hair cut tomorrow!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm trying to organize my home office and hope to make a trip to Barnes and Noble later. I'm currently reading Nobody's Baby But Mine, by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, I think I saw it recommended here quite some time ago. It's a really good book, I'm about three quarters of the way through already.

My DD's basement flooded in SC; apparently that rarely happens where they live.

I'm packing up my library this weekend (getting new flooring). This is a slow process as I determine if I want to keep a book if I can get it as an ebook, and if yes, do I still want to keep the paper copy

Some are easy decisions Elsie Lee, Linda Howard, Julie Garwood, Lee Damon, Karen Robards and Sharon Sala which are keepers. Others are a lot more hemming and hawing

It has been a busy last few days, so I haven't gotten in too much reading. I have been canning green beans, making pepper jelly, bruschetta, and giving away squash and cucumbers. Yesterday, hubby and I went to a spin class at the Y then went to the local farmer's market for fresh blackberries and blueberries.

My oldest son's truck broke down...he just barely made it back home from Florida. So as his truck is in the shop, He has taken hubby's truck to Mississippi to work for the youngest son. So for a week now, hubby and I have used my car. It hasn't been too bad. Hubby has to take it in to work and if I need to go anywhere, I have to coordinate it with him...it forces us to do more things together...grocery shop, workout, run errands. It is different, and we haven't had an argument or killed each other over who gets the car...yet  I do have to get my hair colored and cut on Tues, so I either get the car or he drops me off...can't put that off!!

I finished reading MY DARLING CAROLINE by Adele Ashworth on Saturday. Today I started HER HUSBAND'S HARLOT by Grace Calloway on my Kindle.

I'm in a slump, can't find anything to hold my attention.

I think I need more sunshine and Vit D.

Late to the party! I'm reading Gambling On Love by Nancy Fraser and...erms...let's just go with Nancy Fraser. I think my reading malaise is that I'm burned out on romances. They've been taking me forever...I read a cozy mystery in two days. But I have a small stack of review books, mostly romance, so I've got to plow through.

As always, late to the party again! But it's better than not showing up at all, as has been the case for the last several weeks. Well, one thing I have been getting in with dad still in the hospital is reading! This last week I finished Maya Banks and Susan Mallery books, and am starting in on Robin Kaye's Reed Hook series with the novella that kicks it off. So far so good.

As of tomorrow, dad will have been in the hospital 9 weeks. Yesterday and today are the final push to jump start everything. It's been a long 9 weeks and he just keeps hanging in there. I'm so tired that I really don't know what to think, but long term I know what will happen.

I found Maya's book to be a bit lacking. If Steele would have said "Thank F___" or "it's never been like this before, not with ANY OTHER woman" one more time, the book would have hit the wall. Way too much purple prose for the Ice Man!! Just sayin".......the best part was the rest of the clan's presence.

See ya all again in a few weeks! Too much going on to post often.
