Happy Weekend Everyone!

I had a good week, after coming home from Lori Foster's Get Together with Lynn and meeting Amelia on Tuesday, I attended Lady Jane's Salon and got to meet Valerie Bowman. I was like a little kid. No plans this weekend, just chillin out and running errands.

I finished reaing One Sweet Ride by Jaci Burton -- loved it. I started the new Johanna Lindsey book yesterday - One Heart To Win. After that I think I may start Julana Stone's Barker Triplets series.

Any plans this weekend? What are you reading?

Danielle, I loved the Jaci Burton also! I've been rereading older Johanna Lindsey books lately but I haven't read anything new by her in several years. Would you recommend this one?

After the Burton book this week, I picked up Toni Blake's new Destiny novel, "Half Moon Hill". I've liked the Destiny novels but this one just isn't for me. I won't discourage anyone else from reading it, as our tastes are all different, but this book doesn't come close to the others IMO.

Happy Father's Day to all your fathers and husbands. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Dani

Happy weekend girls! I'm in the middle of One Sweet Ride myself. I read Thrown By A Curve earlier this week and loved it. I haven't decided yet about this one though.

Super busy right now but wanted to drop by and say hello.

I'm reading Next of Kin by Sharon Sala and when I get finished I'm going to buy (download to my kindle) 'til Death, the third and final book in the series. This series is so good I wish I had read it earlier and I'm kicking myself for not keeping her on my must buy list.

Hi everyone.

Hope the weekend is nicer than they are predicting. I had Maura and Sam tonight, so we went to dinner at Applebees. Maura loves to order a Shirley Temple and baby riblets... she is something else!

I really don't have too much planned to do this weekend. Just got my rugs cleaned by a friend and he only charged $25 a room. I was so pleased. Sassy is sleeping in the kitchen tonight and she is not a happy camper. I will keep her there until they are dry.

I Just finished up the 5th book I was judging in the 2013 International Digital Awards. All 5 books were really good. I picked up Kat Martin's Against the Fire. It is the 2nd in a series of 3 brothers. I liked Against the Wind so much that I just scooped up the last one and will end up reading it next. I think it is called Against the Law. Good series if anyone likes some very hunky cowboys and some pretty steamy sex... and... ta da... a story line that is good, too.

Hope you all have a great weekend and do some happy reading.

Hi All,

Closed my eyes and pulled out a "surprise" from a contemporary and romantic suspense filled bookbag, reading now...

The Waterfall by Carla Neggers (5/00) -- RS

This week finished....

Mail-Order Bride Series by Joan Johnston
1. Texas Bride (4/12) (C Subtle)
2. Wyoming Bride (1/13) (C Warm)
Both books had their moments but not enough of them to pull out of the "only average" category.

Also, read this week...

Gifted Hands - The Ben Carson Story (1990) - an autobiographical quick read of encouragement and faith, rags to riches.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

--Janie

I don't know if there will be any reading done this weekend. Hubby and I are tearing out some of our hardwood floor where there was a water leak in the dishwasher, in the washing machine, and the hot water heater. The whole house is torn to hell and back. We have had to rip up a good third of the flooring. In about a month we will replace it, refinish it and seal it. I will be without a dishwasher for close to 2 months. Pulling my hair out!

This is not good timing since my college grad son came home with all his stuff pile up everywhere in his room and in the garage. He left to go to Florida for 2 weeks with his buddies.

Why could we not have done this a few months ago?? Hubby is dangerous when he starts something with a hammer and crowbar  These water leaks have been in our house for 2 yrs and the sub flooring has rotted out. So we have had to pull up the sub flooring. I have been packing up all my china and rolling up the carpet because we literally have to move all the furniture out of the dining room, den, our bedroom, hallway, bathroom and kitchen. Whew....

Happy weekend everyone - late to the party here - as usual lately. :D I am listening to one of the In Death series books by JD Robb in the car to and from work - but I'm not currently reading anything. I received and finished the newest Psy/Changling by Nalini Singh - and it was great - I just love that series. I'm going to try hard to hind something to read around here because I want to hold a book in my hands and read - I don't want to listen to it and I don't want an ebook - I want to be able to turn the paper pages.

It was a busy day today running around - but tomorrow will be nice and relaxing - I have nothing to do and no place to go!!

Not much time to read and have no idea when that will change....so basically waving as I fly by! Always have the Kindle & am reading the new Linda Lael Miller (sorry - have no idea what the title is!!!) and it's very good.

Dad went to Mayo in Rochester by ambulance, has a GI bleed. After 5 days he is stable again, with a long road ahead of him. Back to living a day at a time, which is the only way that works well for me.

Everyone have a great week!
