Ladies, what's going on? TWO HUNDRED and SOMETHING people viewed the weekly reading thread, and over FOUR HUNDRED last week but only 11 people have responded? Really less than that because I know I posted twice and so did Dani.

Come on...we want to know what you're reading!!

Agreed! You help yourself by finding out what everyone is reading but you help everyone else when they hear about a new author. I just discovered Maya Banks through the weekend reading thread and I LOVE HER. New favorite for me!!! You don't have to share your life, lol, just your books.

I agree, but I think the numbers get that high because, maybe like me, people re-visit when someone posts so views go up....

But there are probably a share of lurkers! :D and since I have such a boring life  , I like to see what others are up to and reading, across the ponds...

Oh and @Kyle, I am going to check out that MB series, because of your "raves" :D BUT I am eagerly anticipating RAID by Kristen Ashley which is released on Thursday, so it won't be this week.... she is my drug of choice these past months...

Happy to see this post Kyle. There were so many participants in the weekend reading post. I just can't believe over 400 people (yeah, I know some go back just read the newer posts, but still that's a lot of people) actually took the time to look, but could not leave so much as one line to tell us what they are reading.

The lack of participation is a puzzle to me. I can't tell you how many books have been added to my TBR mountain from this post! But not recently because no one is posting, and those that are, are not reading much that is new.

I'm taking two graduate classes right now and most of my recent reading is mainly academic. It took me three weeks to read Karen Moning's Iced.

I didn't mean to fuss at anyone...but we all know that there are a lot of lurkers and we want to see them too!

Klass I would fuss at you about the Kristin Ashley but I'm guilty of the same thing when I find a new author that I love. I have been glomming Maya Banks and had to stop after reading ALL of the KGI books.

Now I'm reading ALL of the New Species books by Laurann Dohner...so I get it. But seriously...Klass...step away from the Kristin Ashley!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :D :D :D I have actually been on a KA "detox" this week or so in anticipation for Raid, not a re-read ANYWHERE!!! so I can fully savour RAID.... eeep! .

Martha recommended a new author on another thread Tiffany A Snow, and have to say loving THAT at the moment. So for the moment Kyle I have abstained, but come Friday that'll be a WHOLE 'nother story!!!!

You are right to fuss Kyle. We all have excuses. :) Here are mine. Before Christmas my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We are devasated, but trying to go on. He finishes up the first round of chemo this week. It has definately affected my reading habits. I can barely concentrate. It took me one month to read A NOTORIOUS COUNTESS CONFESSES by Julie Anne Long. I am reading ONE GOOD EARL DESERVES A LOVER right now and have been for the past two weeks. And these are two of my favorite authors.

So anyhow, I love reading the thread but don't always feel I have anything to contribute.

I am certainly going to try harder.

I didn't post because I'm still re-reading Julie Garwood with the occassional Hannah Howell or Linda Howard.

That being said the weekend reading posting is my absolute favorite. I have found some very good authors by reading what others are reading.

Lindy, I am sorry to hear of your hubby's cancer and will keep you both in my prayers.

2013 did not get off to a good start for me either, and I have only read 6 books so far, with March looming just a few days away! I have been too distracted by other stuff to even pick up a book. Just finished Ella Grace's new book, and had to go back and start it over. So now I am off to write a review on that, which I can post on Goodreads since the release date is closer now. I have put off writing it because I was a bit disappointed in the book, and want to make certain I do not project my crankiness in to the review. So, now that I can trust myself not to do that, off I go!!!

I usually try to read 1 or 2 a week. When I'm not reading my kindle fire, I'm reading a paperback. I just finished 2 on my kindle by Shiloh Walker, The Reunited & Blind Destiny. I read Beautiful Scars also by Shiloh. I started Unbreakable by Alison Kent. Lindy, your husband is in my prayers.

I've not been reading a whole lot...a whole 4 books so far this year. It seems like it takes me forever to finish a book lately when I used to be able to read 1-2 a day. I think it's a combination of caring for Dad, working, school, writing and frustration with all things medical. It seems like all I want to do is sleep.
