So far -- not that I'm going to be doing much reading during the holidays:

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Future Perfect by Suzanne Brockmann
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson (non-fiction)
Fifty Shades trilogy by E. L. James
The Lovesick Cure by Pamela Morsi
Stay Close by Harlan Coben
Lover Reborn by J. R. Ward
What Doesn't Kill You by Iris Johansen
The Witness by Nora Roberts
The Line between Here and Now by Andrea Kane
Darker Than Midnight by Lara Adrian
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Low Pressure by Sandra Brown
Iced by Karen Marie Moning
The Great Escape by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Sleep No More by Iris Johansen
Sweet Talk by Julie Garwood
Rainshadow Road by Lisa Kleypas
Biting Cold by Chloe Neill

I had other books I enjoyed but these were the best of the best. I could probably knock it down to my top ten but I'd have to combine the trilogies because they all come together.

Lady Luck - Kristen Ashley

To be honest all books of KA's are in my 4 - 5 rates for this year...

And just as a last minute a new author for me, Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan, this book I read just yesterday, it's gritty has aspects some people might not be comfortable with, but it grabbed me and didn't let go till the end (if you don't like older/younger, forced relations, exhibitionism, etc) then maybe this isn't for you, I didn't know till I started reading, but somehow it wasn't that bad. Based in a motorcycle Club environment. He's the premiss... http://www.madelinesheehan.com/undeniable-series

@ Erika, have you read her????, if not I reckon you'd like this one

I must be a hard marker, beacuse I don't have that many books that impressed me.. :?

@Sheila - I'll have to catch up on my Lorraine Heath books. Haven't read her in a while, but always enjoy her books.

@Linda - You have a lot of my favorite authors on your list. I'm taking notes and will check out some of the books you mentioned.

@Klass - I'm the opposite. I'm easy with my ratings. Sometimes I go back a few months later and wonder why I gave a book such a high rating. Must be a mood thing.

I'm the same way. I give my books ratings of excellent, very good, good, fair and poor. I should probably open it up a bit and I should have a separate rating for "lightweight" books. For instance Nora Roberts Witness is more heavy weight than her trilogies. It doesn't seem right to me to put them in the same "category" when one is so much more involved than the other. Then again, I'm probably overthinking this LOL.

Darn it. I need to find my journal for this. I finished one a month or so ago so I'm in a new one for the end of 2012 and beyond and I can't find my old one.

Definitely though my favorite books for 2012 were the 50 Shades books but I know there were several others I really liked.

Going to refresh my memory now!!!

I don't know where I picked it up, was probably the Motorcycle Club aspect, so didn't "research" as such, but WOW! May be some moments where you think, "do I want to read this" but by then you are so sucked in by the story, nearly think Tack with a little more intensity and grit than Knight! and you have Deuce!

PS I just watched the trailer on her website, oooh mama!, Lee Brice and hot guy picks and quotes from book...

Hmm you're making this book sound very intriguing!

I don't think I recc'd this book. Must've totally forgot :(

Since I need new books to read and my want list has zero new books I'm going to take a risk and buy Undeniable.

I hope you enjoy it..... :| I'm waiting for Unbeautiful to be released....

It's actually a book that I wouldn't have read, a year ago, it's intense, but well written, IMHO! :D

I just finished Marco's Redemption by Lynda Chance. I have a feeling you may like this one!
A plus it's under $3. Chance has quite a backlist

Going to read Undenible now.

Actually downloaded Bedded by the Boss two weeks ago (.99c), haven't read it yet... hahaha Great Minds!

I'll add Cherrie Lynn to that list too, if you haven't read, starts with Unleashed, but I read the 2nd and 3rd books Rock Me and Leave Me Breathless... first...

60% into Undeniable and Eva is the craziest heroine I've read in recently in a romance. Undenible tops Rosemary Rogers Steve and Ginny saga!

I've heard of Lynn. After reading Undeniable I need a virginal, sweet, gentle sane heroine...does Lynn have heroines like that?
