Iced? I just preordered, I'm pretty excited! I really loved her Fever series and this picks up where Shadowfever left off, but this new trilogy features Dani O'Mlalley. :D :D

I just started the Fever series, I don't usually read a series book as I like different characters and different plots. I've started it now and will continue although it is in the first person and I really don't like that either this is very slow going for me. I may not pick up the new series if this doesn't pick up for me.

Is this in the mode of the Fever series??? I'm not a fan of romances that don't end in one book w/a hea. I do like KMM other books and have been wiating for her to write books more like that.

I found some FAQs on her FB page which I posted on the spoiler board. But she's 14 when the book starts and 17 when it ends. And, she did say that Dani doesn't have sex when she's 14! :D

So it's a YA book, which means I won't be reading it....

It's not YA. Please see below from Karen's Facebook page.

"Guys, ICED is NOT Young Adult. Dani ages during the next three books of the Fever Series. Yes, there's sex. I like writing about sex. I always write about sex. No, 14-year old Dani doesn't have sex. Other people do. Nor does 14 -year old (at the start of the trilogy) Dani make it a book by or for a 14 year old. I promise you all the magic you've come to expect from the Fever World. I don't write YA. This series isn't YA. Please spread the word so my inbox will calm down:)"

I never thought of it as YA. I only thought of it as a continuation of the Fever series.

Ugh, so not reading this book. I didn't like Dani that much to begin with and that she's 14 when the series starts....ewwww!!!! Getting a little too pedophile for me! Even if she's 17 when it ends...sorry but it just doesn't work for me (outside of historicals) And I'm sure her HEA is some immortal who's lived for 500 years.

Just gross.

Have to also agree with Riley, Dani just wasn't a fave character of mine, so even if it isn't YA, she, as a character, annoyed me actually.

Although the I like the sound of the, who is he, the nightclub owner, Ryodan....pity really.... :? oh well! plenty more books in the sea.....

I'm not planning on continuing this series. I loved KMM's earlier Highland series but I struggled with the Fever series. Because I loved her earlier series I was always comparing them and I much prefer romance to urban fantasy.

So no more of my money will be going into KMM's coffers!!

For those of you who are mourning her Highlander series, I think I read she's moved on from that kind of writing. I'm expecting, when she's done with the fever thing, to move on to something different again. She seems to march to her own beat. I'm looking forward to this series but with some trepidation. I'm still mad that she turned on Mac, although she's been forgiven.

That's me. How sad. All those Highlander books were keepers. I'm not into the Fever series. Dang guess I have to look for a replacement author!
