another long lost girl. h is named Jade. This is not book by Sharon Sala. h is found by private detective. h is on the run from cult leader-possibly polygamy involved. PI thinks hes hired by family but really hired by cult leader. Jade does distinctive arts and crafts (maybe how she does baskets or ties knots or something). I do remember her leaving house of elderly friend and running away from bad guys (maybe climbing out a window or running out backdoor with H right behind her). Also dying or cutting her hair in store bathroom.

Hi Alene,

I hope someone has read your book and can remember the title and author.

Are you by chance a subscriber to Fictiondb.com ? I just renewed my annual subscription for $20.00 and was hopeful a search would find your answer.

The thing is with "Jade" in the synopsis everything Jade comes up... jaded heart, jaded soul, eyes of jade... you get the drift. It's easy to look for the heroine's name of Jade but time consuming, more than I thought it would take. Even found one hero named Jade.

So, anyhow. There were 225 titles with the Contemporary Romance and Jade, I read the book descriptions from A thru D and no help to you there except by elimination.

If you or someone else decides to further the search on that site, begin with the E's and forward. :)

Also, if you had an idea of the year you read the book that might help scratch even more off the list.

I've looked several places for this book since this question has been posted and haven't found anything. I also went through the same list that Janie had. I may be wrong, but I really think that you're confusing two books. I also tried different spellings for Jade.

This kinda sounds like Chosen Prey by Cheyenne McCray, but the heroine is Lyra.
