Ladies: (Gentlemen too) About 25 years ago I read a contemporary romance about a young widow who is a marine biologist terrified of water who meets a Navy seal(?) (retired) and falls in love with him. The romance progresses until she becomes pregnant and she leaves him. His maiden aunt (who raised him) finally gives him enough info to find her which he does (days before their child is born). I can't remember who wrote it or the title. Do you know or is there somewhere I can find out? Thanks in advance, Shelva

Hi Shelva,

I think the book you are searching for is Chain Lightning by Elizabeth Lowell.

If I remember correctly, the heroine (marine biologist) had developed a phobia of water after a tragic event in her life and took a job at a non-profit organization, where the hero's aunt was her boss.

Honey,
Thank you so much. I truly believe this is the one. I may still have this book. I rarely get rid of the ones I consider keepers. I could remember that Australia figured into the story as well as the loss of her husband and unborn child.

I also remember the discussion about being "protected" and our hero wasn't listening when she said, "There will be no unwanted pregnancy."

Thanks again Shelva

Shelva,

You're more than welcome. It's very rare that when I read a book's description that I actually know of the book.

I'm just so glad I could help.
